Trip to Balchik
After whole day of travelling, from town to town ,we were exhausted and it was time for relax.We spent couple of hours in resting.Then we had a dinnger and we went for a walk on the beach.It was so beautiful , the sea , the lights , the town , everything was amazing.
In the morning we had a breakfast and it was time to visit one of the most beautiful tourist destination on the seaside – the cultural centre “Dvorece” and the botanical garden.I can’t find words to describe this places they are fascinating .

Trip to Kavarna
On the first day of the trip (25th May) after Varna we decided to go to Kavarna.There we visited the monument of Ronnie James Dio,where we put many balloons.Our CAS teacher told us that this is a great rock musician , but i’ve never heard of him.I like this genre of music and I like his songs,but I like this the most

Trip to Varna
Every class in our school had the task to choose a destination for a trip and to visit it.Of course there was a catch , we should make a presentation after the trip – to show what everybody was doing during this trip.Me , my classmates and our CAS teacher Ms.Petarcheva choose Varna,Kavarna,Balchik,which are seaside towns.
On 25th early in the morning we set off very happy.On the bus we sang and laugh and after 3 hours we were in Varna.We had 2 hours and of course we went ot shopping.I bought a jeans that I wanted from couple of months and I was so happy.When I said happy i remember something.After the fast shopping we went to our favourite restaurant “Happy”.Then we went to the bus , but I will tell you about this later.Now I will tell you about the second day , which was in Varna too.We had to stay in Balchik , but we had a problems with the manager of the hotel , so we decided to leave.We were looking for a hotel for quite a long , but we found a really good one “Aqua Hotel”.After we left our stuffs in the hotel we went on the beach.Mirella , one of my classmates , divided into the water :D . We took many pictures and we went to the hotel to take a shower and to prepare for diner.On the next day we visited one mall , but we had only 2 hours and we had to go back home L

The Party
On 9th May me and part of my classmates visited the local theater.The performance was “The party”.I expected one good play,but I was dissapointed.It was awful : the genre and the actors too.
After the performance me and my classmates discussed how dissapointed we are.
Saying good-bye to the seniors.
On 2nd May our school took last goodbye with the seniors.Me and my classmates were busy to decorate the stairs and the auditorium.We stuck little steps on the way to the auditorium,we decorate the main door and we put many balloons.It was so sad , because I was friend with big part of the seniors,but on the other hand it was so fun,because the performance was really good.There were two sketches,which make all of us laugh truly.Some of the 11th graders had prepared songs and then the presentation came.
Next year we will be on their places , but I don’t want L
Collecting Books
On 21st April me and my classmates went to the local library to give the collected books from the charity campaign(I told you about this in my previous post).I was impressed by the library.The library is huge and there are thousands of old books.The lady in the library was so happy to see us,which is the best prize for us , to see someone happy and glad , because of our action J It is wonderful when you know that someone is happy because of you
p.s I will visit this library again , because i want to read many of the books which are there J

Painting eggs in the local resident home for old people
On 19th April me and my classmates visited the local resident home for old people.We decided to paint eggs for them and to make a little exhibition.It was so fun,we had a great time there as usual.I broke the first egg :D , while Mrs.Petarcheva was trying to take a photo with us :D:D:D.Of course we were surprised by the old people again ,they had made a beautiful cup with a form of rabbit for everyone.We made really beautiful eggs and everyone took its egg J

Collecting Books
On 14th April Mrs Petarcheva and students from my school organized a charity campaign for collecting books for the local library.Me and my classmates have flyers to everyone in school.I hope this campaign will be successful and we will collect many books J

Street Parade
After we finished with the eggs at school , I went home for a short rest.There was something new and interesting.There was an appeal to everyone to stop for a minute and to think about the nature.There were many volunteers and 3 of my classmates and friends took place as making a construction of falling bottles.It was new and really interesting.I really hope that this will make people to think about the nature.After this we put the blue t-shirts(if I can say a t-shirt , it looks like a sack,but nevermind) and started to give the colour papers with the thoughts.I liked it a lot and the people liked it,but at the beggining I was feeling like an idiot because of blue sack on me.First people didn’t want to take the papers , because they thought that I will want money from them :D , but then they came alone to me :D:D:D:DAt about 6 o’clock the bus with Sandy Rivera came and tail of hundreds of people started to enjoy.We started from the municipality and we went to Carevec . I was on high heels and I really don’t know how I did this ... but I did it :D When we went to Carevece we let many paper lanterns to burn in the sky , it was so romantinc and beautiful.Actually 22nd march was such a great day.

Open day at school ( Eastern workshop)
The Open doors in school was on 22nd March ( the holiday of Veliko Tarnovo).On this day students who want to be accepted in our school come to see the school and we are studying.The students are separated in groups(for the eastern workshop,for chemistry,physics&biology experiments,for english&german language games , etc . ) Me and my classmates were in the Eastern workshop and we painted wood eggs with water colours.It was so fun.Every egg was unique and beautiful , but I like Radoslava’s egg the most J We took many pictures with our work of art and we talked about Faberge Eggs (here you can read more about them http://collectibles.about.com/od/companyprofiles/p/fabergeeggs.htm )J . After we finished we started with the preparation for the Street Parade J
When I went home I saw that our CAS teacher put pictures of our eggs on the online edition of one famous bulgarian magazine for decorations J I was so happy for this too J J J

Cause for Everyone
On 17th March there was a Charity Concert , called “Cause for everyone” , in the municipality.There were members from four schools , who were defended their cause.The money from the tickets we sold will go for the winner cuase,so ... we won the competition.We we all so happy,because we really deserved it.The money which we won had to go for a women ,from the local resident home , who has a problem with her eyes , but then at the of the concer our CAS teacher decided that it is better to give the money to the people from Japan.At one side I’m happy that we will help to those people , who don’t have where to live or those who don’t have what to eat , but at the other side I think that the money we have won have to go to the woman’s eye operation , because we already promised this to her.

Selling Tickets
On 14th March we were selling tickets in school for our charity campaign , that is going to take place on 17th in the municipality on the charity concert.This campaign includes different performances from four schools ( 3 from Veliko Tarnovo and 1 from Svishtov) and in the end of the concert guest will give the ticket for the campaign which they want to support.The price is collectef from the tickets ( one ticket is 2 leva) money which is about 400leva (200 euro).The money will go for charity,but the causes of the different schools will be different.
So we went in every classroom and offered the students and the teacher to buy tickets for the concert,nothing special.I hope that we will win the competition

The three musketeers
On 10th March me and some of my classmates visited the local theater.The performance was “The three musketeers” and many famous actors took place in it(like Kalin Vrachanski I told you about him in the previous posts J ).I didn’t know what kind of genre it will be the performance and I didn’t expect anything , but it was really good.The actors played really good.
After the performance me and my friends discussed it ,we were all so excited J

Instructions for the Street Parade
On 9th March me and my classmates went to the municipality.There the PR of the municipality told us instructions about the Street Parade,but he did not tell us something which we do not know.We did not know that we were going to wear enormous,ugly blue t-shirts with stickers on it and that we will give colour papers with thoughts to the people.They told us that the DJ on the Street Parade will be Sandy Rivera.Usually I don’t listen this type of music , but when I went home I listened Sandy Rivera’s tracks and I liked him , so I will see what will happen on the Parade J
Second Yoga Class
On 7th March was my second yoga class for the second term.I was so stressed , because of the first exam ( the exam for the bulgarian language) for the IB program and this was the most relaxing yoga class ever.We talked about the yoga alternative medicine and when I went home back I read more about it in wikipedia

1 March
On 1st March we went to school a little bit earlier ( at about 7:30) , because we gave martenici to the students from school .. Some of them were very enthusiastic and happy , but most of them were sad because they were late for school ... After school we went to the local resident home for old people.
There we had a short performance, we read a poems connected with the holiday and the coming spring.I read two poems J When we finished with the performance we gave to the old people our martenici with message.
We were so surprised when the old people gave us so many presents :hand – made martenici to all of us , book with poems from a man from the home and hand made wall panel J
We were all happy , because of their happiness and because of their surprise to us J

CAS Meeting
On 24th February we had a CAS meeting in the library J We talked about our future activites and specially for 1st of March and 22nd March J
We talked about our program in the local resident home and we counted the “martenici” for last time , because we did not want to take less . We also talked and discussed the Street Parade in Veliko Tarnovo on 22nd March.We will be on the bus , which will go through the whole town .. It will be so cool J J J I am so happy

First yoga class for the second term
On 21st February was my first yoga class for the second term.I was so happy , because I really wanted to go there , because I needed time special for me and I need relaxation J I really liked this class , because we made more intense excersises.The different this time was that we didn’t start with relaxation as usual , we had relaxation only at the end of the class.We talked about how to deal with the flues during the winter and specially about the homeopathy.

Creativity Class
On 17th February we had the funniest creativity class ever.We made a thing called “March installation” it looked as a tree for 1st of March – “Baba Marta” I told you about this holiday in my previous post.Our “tree” is for the old people in the local resident home.We will be their guest for the holiday , we have a program for them , with songs and poems and when we finish with the program we will give them the tree.We had a great time and the result was PERFECT

Making Martenici
On 16th of February our CAS teacher Ms.Petarcheva gave me a martenici which I have to make at home.I love this spring’s holidays a lot
I think that there are martenici only in Bulgaria(and maybe Macedonia,but I am not sure) , so I will tell you more about them.
Martenica is a small piece of adornment, made of white and red yarn and worn from March 1 until around the end of March (or the first time an individual sees a stork, swallow or budding tree). The name of the holiday is Baba Marta. "Baba" (баба) is the Bulgarian word for "grandmother" and Mart (март) is the Bulgarian word for the month of March. Baba Marta is a Bulgarian tradition related to welcoming the upcoming spring. The month of March, according to Bulgarian folklore, marks the beginning of springtime. Therefore, the first day of March is a traditional holiday associated with sending off winter and welcoming spring.
Symbolism
The red and white woven threads symbolize the wish for good health. They are the heralds of the coming of spring in Bulgaria and life in general. While white as a color symbolizes purity, red is a symbol of life and passion, thus some ethnologists have proposed that in its very origins the custom might have reminded people of the constant cycle of life and death, the balance of good and evil, and of the sorrow and happiness in human life.
The martenitsa is also a stylized symbol of Mother Nature. At that early-spring/late-winter time of the year, Nature seems full of hopes and expectations. The white symbolizes the purity of the melting white snow and the red symbolizes the setting of the sun which becomes more and more intense as spring progresses. These two natural resources are the source of life. They are also associated with the male and female beginnings.
Wearing one or more martenitsi is a very popular Bulgarian tradition. The martenitsa symbolises new life, conception, fertility, and spring. The time during which it is worn is meant to be a joyful holiday commemorating health and long life. The colours of the martenitsa are interpreted as symbols of purity and life, as well as the need for harmony in Nature and in people's lives.

Saint Valentine Day
Saint Valentine’s Day was yesterday ,but I am still so excited.First I understood that we can be without uniforms at school , because we will be an angels J So .. I went to school and we all took our wings from the library , they were so cute J After this in the beginning of the third class , we went to the different classes , because some of the students had bought a valentines card for someone else , so we were the Cupid Angels , who gave the valentine’s card J
At 12:30 we went to the municipality , one girl from 8th grade ( Leda) read a message for Saint Valentine’s Day to the people in the municipality.Then the mayor of Veliko Tarnovo , doctor Rumen Rashev , told us that Veliko Tarnovo was announced as a Romantic Capital of Bulgaria , we were all so happy J After the official part , we went to every floor of the municipality and we gave a valentine card to every person J
In front of the municipality , there were members from the Bulgarian Red Cross , I gave money for charity and I bought 3 boxes with surprise in it J There are so cute
After we finished with the municipality , we went to the office of the local newspaper Yantra , people there were so nice and friendly.They were all so happy , that we gave them Valentine’s cards J
I was so happy , because we made a lot of people happy J

Selling Valentine Cards and the New Edition of our IB Newspaper
On 7th of February till the 11th we were selling our hanmade valenitene cardsJ The students could buy a Valentine for the one they love,a teacher or a friend.We had three different kinds of Valentines and they could buy them for 1 lev , with the raised money we will buy martenici.We were also selling new edition of the newspaper,the whole edition was for love and alcohol J I think that this was the most enjoyable and exciting edition. Brani our classmate made a picture on Photoshop and we were all like an angels J It was so cute J Thank you Brani :*

Correct the planning page and making love messages for Saint Valentine's Day
On 3rd of February was our first CAS meeting for the second term.First we corrected our Planning Pages .. I was thinking to start to go to Folk Dancing , but than I decided that it is better to continiue with my Yoga classes J
After we finished and gave our Planning Pages to Mrs.Petacherva we made love messages for Saint Valentine’s Day.I like them,they are so cute J J J
World smile day
On 25th of January was the World Smile Day.We took a picture with the Smile Board the previous day,because on 24th we understood that the government let us flu vacation because of the large number of patients in Veliko Turnovo and the region. There is no greater surprise, even to sound like black humor,because of the holiday we were all happy

Bowling Competition
On 23rd January me and my classmates had a bowling competition in the local mall.We separated into two teams (Me,Hristina,Brani and Mirela,Christina,Martina and Lora).At the beginning of the first Brani had the highest score,I was after her and then was Hrisi J My team decided to play one more game,because we really had a lot of fun.Brani was the winner in the second game too,but she is a really good bowling player .. but the most important was that we have a lot of fun J
